Pacific Coast Staffing has partnered with the world’s
largest privately held commercial aircraft leasing company in the search for
paralegal.
JOB SUMMARY
The position
exists to provide paralegal support to the attorneys, even acting as back-up
support to the attorneys, if needed (without, obviously, offering legal advice
and counsel).
POSITION DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITES
1)
Support attorneys in the negotiation/documentation/implementation of
transactions and other legal affairs of the Company; coordinate efforts with
outside counsel and paralegals.
2)
Ensure that documents are completed, executed and pre-positioned in a timely
manner.
3)
Review details of a transaction/matter, to advise attorney what is incomplete or
outstanding.
4)
Form, qualify and dissolve corporations; prepare corporate bylaws; prepare and
maintain corporate minute books and records; prepare and file annual and
franchise tax reports when due.
5)
Maintain and update aircraft registration and ownership records; coordinate
efforts with other departments within the Company.
6)
Must be able to investigate, research (if necessary) and report back on
inquiries by the Company’s attorneys.
7)
Word-processing and formatting necessary; some Excel.
AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING:
Moderately high
authority for independent decisions. Little supervision and
direction/instruction given from the attorneys. Tasks are moderately high in
terms of complexity/difficulty, and must be done carefully and accurately.
Great autonomy; high responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A

to perform the essential functions of this position, the minimum knowledge,
skills and abilities are listed below:
Education
Must have a
Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certification. Work experience in a corporate
Legal Dept. or
in a law firm a plus.
Work Experience
Prior experience
in a corporate or other business setting required. Prior work with attorneys
beneficial. At
least 3-5 years paralegal experience a must. Must be able to work with
minimal
supervision.
Skills and
Knowledge Level
Must have
excellent communication, writing, and organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be: responsive to multiple demands, able to prioritize, flexible and able
to work overtime occasionally.
Must be computer
literate and able to word process documents. Experience with Microsoft
Office Word and
Outlook beneficial.

Pleasant
workstation in an open room. Moderately high traffic/noise near workstation.
Should
dress
“corporately”, business casual O.K. from time to time
Salary
This position is
DOE, up to 80K.
